On April 27, Legacy Recordings releases You're Driving Me Crazy, pairing Morrison with Hammond B-3 organ master and trumpeter Joey DeFrancesco. Available on a single CD or two LPs, the album features Morrison's vocals with DeFrancesco's band: drummer Michael Ode, guitarist Dan Wilson and tenor sax man Troy Roberts.

Last year, Morrison, known in recent decades for his aggressive eclecticism, released Versatile, a jazz album that topped the Billboard jazz charts and as of today holds the # 5 position.  It's not his first jazz album.ollows his 1995 How Long Has This Been Going On with Georgie Fame and the 1996 Mose Allison tribute Tell Me Something with Allison, Fame and Ben Sidran.

Mose Allison: Remembering The Faulkner Of Jazz



Three days after losing Leon Russell, an earlier visionary pianist departs: Mose Allison, who died at his South Carolina home at 89. Nicknamed the "Sage of Tippo" (Mississippi, his birthplace) and the Faulkner of Jazz, he'd been honored in 2013 as a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master, the culmination of a career that endured nearly 70 years.
