The story of Skyliners lead vocalist Jimmy Beaumont, a product of the City's Knoxville section, who died Sunday at 76, has been told many times. Pittsburgh music is forever secure. This is Scott Mervis's obit. I'll the music tell the story, Beaumont summing it up in the 2016 interview at the end.

Scott Mervis's Sunday commentary made excellent points about the fledgling Pittsburgh Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and its induction process. PRRHOF's first inductee is admired local promoter Rich Engler, half of the equally legendary DiCesare-Engler team. I concur wholeheartedly. Engler certainly has earned his place there, as has his longtime business partner Pat DiCesare.
