We have all been there, a fair distance into a longer run and your mind starts to wander. I know that for myself, my cadence and pace and also wander which yeilds inconsistant training results. Music that matches your power and intensity for any workout program can help you push yourself or keep you on target for a less strenuous workout. I have always found that if I match the tempo of a song to my desired cadence (steps per minute) I am more easily able to maintain or pick up the pace.
Just this past week I was asked again about a website I have been using for running music: the name of the site is Runningmixes.com. Please be warned, some of the music is from “club” mixes, so it may be a bit “off-color” or perhaps even downright suggestive. That being said, this site provides a wide variety of mixes that always manage to keep me on target and focused.
