Film festival favorite documentary “Tickled” comes to HBO tonight at 10 and it’s followed by a 20-minute new doc from the same filmmakers that continues the story of the original film.

'The High Court' is in session on Comedy Central

Comedy Central has already done “Drunk History” so why not a court show with a high judge?

Doug Benson stars as the judge of “The High Court” (11:59 p.m. Monday) who may or may not actually be high while hearing cases similar to those on daytime court shows.

Maya Angelou featured on 'American Masters'

PASADENA, Calif. -- PBS’s “American Masters” tells the story of the life of the famous writer and her less well-known beginnings in “Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise” (8-10 tonight, WQED-TV.)

“It is a part of her life that's not as well‑known, and I think that's one of the things that people enjoy about the film,” said executive producer Bob Hercules at the January Television Critics Association winter press tour. “A lot of us didn't know the story of her as a singer, as a Calypso singer, a dancer. Also, her political activism is not as well‑known. She worked for both Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and she was very close to Malcolm X.”

Norman gets closer to psycho in 'Bates Motel'

The final, darker-than-ever season of A&E’s “Bates Motel” (10 tonight) is literally darker than ever. It’s like with Norma (Vera Farmiga, still a series regular) dead, Norman (Freddie Highmore) has failed to replace the lightbulbs as they burn out in the Bates mansion. (He’s also not keen on doing the dishes.)
