“My show came out of wanting to create a role for myself to play, a mom role that sort of doesn't exist on TV,” Ms. Savage said in January at a truTV press conference. “And the show isn't only about parenting, but to show that women who have kids can still be funny, dirty, relatable, grounded, nuanced.  And I have a lot of funny, real stories from my life and so most of the episodes spawn from that.”
