Nielsen provided this nifty graphic (above) to show how the media universe has changed since 2009. Of particular note for TV: The growth in DVR penetration, which is now almost 50 percent, up from 33 percent in 2009.

Facebook offered its list of what had people talking/posting in 2013, including ABC's "Scandal" as the top TV show.
