Dreamhack Austin has one more qualifying round in order for teams to qualify for the LAN tournament at the event. The Pittsburgh Knights are currently one of the top 16 teams. The top eight teams will qualify for LAN. The article can be found below in its entirety.

The Pittsburgh Knights are headed to Austin, TX to compete in “Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds” (“PUBG”) at Dreamhack. The tournament will take place at Dreamhack Austin, which runs from June 1 to June 3, and teams will compete for a $100,000 prize pool.

The Knights are one of 16 teams from around the world who will compete at the tournament. They are considered one of the eight european teams. Despite being headquartered in Pittsburgh, three of the “PUBG” team members are from Europe. Jace “Voxsic” Petras is the lone Knights player from North America, who recently relocated to Pittsburgh.

Among the other European teams that qualified are Faze Clan, Rogue, Team Liquid and Vitality.

Dreamhack Austin is just one of the future stops for the Knights. The foursome are set to compete in the Global Loot League Season 1 Grand Finals in Bucharest later this month. The finals will take place at the PGL Studio on April 20 through April 22. Much like Dreamhack Austin, 16 teams qualified for the tournament, and will compete for their share of a $50,000 prize pool.

“It’s time we put Pittsburgh esports on the map,” said Knights CEO Rob Lee. “It’s an honor to wear the black and gold colors. I think it’s about time to show the world what Pittsburgh has to offer in a new age of sports entertainment. We’re not planning to let them down anytime soon.”

The “PUBG” foursome made up of Voxsic, Michael “Survivor” Wake, Carl “Draedon” Birgerson and Dylan “Krama” Catalano are set to arrive in Bucharest on April 11 to start a training “boot camp” for the tournament. This will be the first time the four members will meet in person.

“PUBG” is one of many esports tournaments at Dreamhack Atlanta. The expo will also have competitions in “CS: GO,” “Super Smash Bros.,” “Dragonball FighterZ,” “Rainbow Six: Seige,” “Starcraft 2” and others.

Fans will be able to watch the Knights compete in Austin on Dreamhack’s Twitch channel at Twitch.TV/Dreamhack.
