NO SPOILERS (except this sentence). The premiere episode of Saul began with a flash-forward showing Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman in his new life as "Gene Takavic," manager of a Cinnabon in an Omaha, Nebraska mall. A 1939 Ink Spots favorite, "Address Unknown," the lead vocal by Bill Kenny, served as the musical soundtrack for that scene.

This time, it's another Ink Spots hit, this one from a year later.

1940: "We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me)" The Ink Spots, again with Kenny on high tenor vocal. Paul McCartney performed this song on his 2012 pop standards album Kisses On The Bottom.

1966: "The Shadow Of Your Smile." Oscar Peterson. The song itself, written by jazz arranger and composer Johnny Mandel (who also composed the M*A*S*H theme and other pop standards) with Paul Francis Webster, who also wrote lyrics to tunes like "Secret Love." It was composed for the 1965 film The Sandpiper, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

2009: "Dark Clouds Rain Soul" Breakestra. An instrumental by the instrumental funk band who based their repertoire on breaks from sampled soul, jazz ad funk breaks.
