Today's "Believe Your Ears" PG music podcast features my review of Ronnie Milsap's new album Summer Number Seventeen, an album of newly recorded versions of R&B, country and pop oldies, not unlike Martina McBride's new R&B cover album Everlasting.  The singer appears at the Palace Theater in Greensburg on May 18.

Aside from the title track, the album focuses oldies from the 50's to the 70's like "Personality," (Lloyd Price), "Tears On My Pillow" (Little Anthony), "Georgia On My Mind" (Ray Charles), "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You" (Hank Williams) and "Mustang Sally" (Wilson Pickett).  It ends with the original recording of Milsap's 1985 nostalgia hit "Lost In The Fifties Tonight," in keeping with the record.
You can hear the podcast at this link.

Milsap discusses the album in this video.
