Today's "Believe Your Ears" Music Podcast reviews Young Guns, a never-released 1968-69 performance by the Gene Ludwig-Pat Martino Trio, a classic Organ Trio led by the late Pittsburgh Hammond B-3 master Gene Ludwig, who died in 2010.

At the time Martino, a Philly native, was one of the fiery young voices of jazz guitar.  The performance, from a tape in Martino's personal collection reflects the group in the late 60's playing at Club 118 in Louisville with drummer Randall Gelispie.  The album documents both Ludwig and Martino in their youthful, roaring days.  Click here to listen.

For a taste of the album, this is the opening track, "Who Can I Turn To" on YouTube, complete.
