Singer Ray Price, discharged from a Texas hospital last month after suffering dehydration, was readmitted a week ago suffering from painful kidney stones and underwent apparently successful surgery Wednesday to correct the problem. Price 87, fighting pancreatic cancer was in remission and continuing to tour. He's also been recording a new album. His Facebook page reported he returned to the hospital June 14. Doctors concluded the dehydration likely caused the stones. The apparent root cause seems to be "Post Radiation Syndrome" sometimes suffered by cancer patients who underwent radiation therapy, as he did. His upcoming show dates have been canceled and rescheduled.
